DeMar Timber & Hardware is a family business owned by Alan and Myriam Webster. Employing over 15 staff members, each industry trained and experienced, DeMar has built an outstanding reputation by providing a level of personal service unparalleled in the industry. Senior staff in timber and hardware sales include Paul Webster and Liz Webster, have 20 to 30 years of experience each in the industry.
Paul Webster Operations Manager
More than 10 years experience lends Paul, the youngest member of the family, quite a wealth of building, timber and hardware knowledge. He is expertly skilled on the forklift and timber machinery and holds a heavy vehicle (HR) licence.
Chris Jepson General Manager
With a degree in computer engineering, Chris left a lucrative computer software job to join the family business. He has worked at DeMar for close to a decade and is the logistical brain behind the operations.
Liz Webster Sales Manager
Having worked at DeMar for close to 20 years, Liz is not only a seasoned timber and hardware expert, she is also the unofficial 'DIY Queen'. Renovating two homes has given Liz a wealth of DIY know-how; she is continually in demand from DeMar's DIY and home renovator clientele
Myriam Webster Managing Director
Myriam has owned the business since 1984 and along with actively managing the business, she sits on the committee for the Timber Merchants Association (Victoria's leading, not-for-profit timber association recognised by Industry, Unions, State and Commonwealth Governments since 1883). She also campaigns against State Government land tax increases and has featured in both the Herald Sun and The Age.
Alan Webster Director
Alan, along with his wife Myriam, have been proud owners of DeMar since 1984. Alan has worked extensively in the hotel industry, is a qualified mechanic and has over two decades of experience in the timber trade. Alan is now retired but still calls in regularly to catch up with staff and customers.
Nicole Jepson Office Manager
Running a very tight ship, Nicole has been in charge of DeMar's back-end and finance department for the past 20 years. She rules the roost 'behind the scenes'.
Graham Gannon Yard Supervisor
Graham has been with DeMar since 1993 and is practically part of the family. He oversees all the outside yard operations and ensures everything runs smoothly.
